Pick Your USA Starting XI Against Honduras
With two games left in qualifying, who would you select in the crucial match against Honduras for the USA?
The United States will be in Honduras for the penultimate CONCACAF World Cup qualifying match this Saturday and head coach Bob Bradley has some crucial decisions to make.
While a spine has emerged throughout the Hexagonal, there are a few tactical decisions Bradley has to make. Now's your chance to pretend you had his gig. Who would you choose to round out the starting XI?
Up front, do you go with the twin battering ram of Jozy Altidore and Charlie Davies, or do you count on the experience of Brian Ching to hold up the ball and let one of the youngsters come off the bench fresh later in the match?
In midfield, who do you count on to replace the injured Clint Dempsey? Stuart Holden has impressed in substitute appearances, but Benny Feilhaber seems to have the inside track when it comes to starting matches. Will Ricardo Clark or Jose Francesco Torres partner Michael Bradley in the middle?
Things are even more jumbled at the back. Three rightbacks -- Frankie Hejduk, Jonathan Spector, and Steve Cherundolo -- will all want the starting berth. With Jay DeMerit out, Oguchi Onyewu and Carlos Bocanegra seem the apparent central pair, but would you keep captain Bocanegra on the left to allow someone like Jimmy Conrad a start?
