What Went Right? USA - Trinidad and Tobago

It was closer than many expected, but the Americans captured the three points away.

The USA took on Trinidad and Tobago and came out the winner, but it was a close match.

Only one goal decided the game, and it came from an unexpected source, as Ricardo Clark hammered home a stunner.

Landon Donovan, no surprise, had the assist on the goal.

But for much of the game, the US seemed befuddled in the attack and vulnerable on defense.

Trinidad and Tobago had more than one good chance at the goal, and if the crossbar had not been kind on a Cornell Glen shot, the outcome would have been very different.

From your viewpoint, what did the Americans do well, and where do they still need to improve?
