U.S. Soccer released the names of the 24 players who will train with the U.S. National Team ahead of the September 5 qualifier against El Salvador and the September 8 date with Trinidad and Tobago in Port of Spain.

The roster includes 17 players who participated in this summer's Confederations Cup as well as mainstays Brian Ching and Steve Cherundolo.

“Clearly these are very important games in our effort to qualify for 2010 FIFA World Cup,” said U.S. head coach Bob Bradley said in a press release. “As we expected, qualifying in this region is very competitive. Both El Salvador and Trinidad & Tobago will be hungry to get points from these matches, and we have an opportunity to position ourselves well to secure a berth for South Africa.”

Three players, midfielders Kyle Beckerman and Robbie Rodgers and forward Robbie Findley are the only players on the 24-man list who have not made a WCQ appearance for the USA.
