Video Special: Goal.com’s Shane Evans Takes A Ballet Dancing Lesson

He talked the talk, now watch him walk the walk…

In what is becoming Goal.com folklore, Associate Editor Shane Evans, me, was quoted as saying, “If the United States beats Spain [in the Confederations Cup semi-final], I’ll take ballet dancing lessons”

As we all know, the U.S. came out strong and shut down the European Champions 2-0 in a very exciting match. Spain threw all that they had at the Tim Howard and co., but it wasn’t enough and our boys in Red, White and Blue were able to hold out for the win.

Much to my dismay, I might add.

Since I am a man of my word, I followed through with my bold declaration and on Monday evening attended a ballet dancing for beginners class at Valley Forge Dance School.

I was greeted kindly by Maria the teacher, and the already established class of budding dancers. I then reluctantly joined in for the hour-long tutorial. As the video evidence below shows, I held my own and was a willing participant throughout.

Unfortunately for all of you out there in Goal.com-land, no pink tutu or leotard was worn. Just shorts and a t-shirt.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video even more than I enjoyed making it!
