Benny Feilhaber has been added to the United States team roster for the Honduras game on Wednesday in the Gold Cup. The game will be the second of each team in Group B action.

Because of the close time proximity between the Confederations Cup and the Gold Cup, CONCACAF allotted the U.S. team an extra seven roster slots. Those seven -- Brad Guzan, Jonathan Bornstein, Sacha Kljestan, Ricardo Clark, Feilhaber, Jozy Altidore and Conor Casey -- won't travel with the squad, but be available to call in for individual matches, as Feilhaber has been.

The 24-year-old first shot to prominence in the 2007 Gold Cup. The Aarhus midfielder hit a stunning volley late in the final against Mexico to the USA a 2-1 win and a spot in the 2009 Confederations Cup. Feilhaber was part of the squad that reached the final in the Confederations Cup, starting the final against Brazil.
