What went wrong for the United States in the Confederations Cup final against Brazil? In addition, what went right for the Americans?

Brazil came back from two goals down to win the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup 3-2 over the United States.
Going into the half with a two-goal lead, the Americans conceded three times in the second stanza to lose the country's first ever FIFA final.
Tell Goal.com what went wrong for the U.S. team. Did the early goals mean the team sat back too deep and allowed Brazil to pour forward too much? Or perhaps some questionable substitutions from Bob Bradley undermined the USA's attempts to hold on to the ball and kill the game.
