Bob Bradley & Landon Donovan Prepared For Italy Challenge
The coach and player says that the USA have nothing to fear from Marcello Lippi's squad.
The United States kick-off their Confederations Cup campaign against Italy on Monday evening in Pretoria and coach Bob Bradley is confident his team are ready to take on the world champions.
"When we play against Italy, everyone must stay concentrated and do their part," he was quoted as saying by Datasport.
"We have great respect for Italy and are looking forward to the challenge. Our team are in good shape."
Meanwhile, veteran striker Landon Donovan has faced the Azzurri before in his career and recalls the last time they crossed paths during the 2006 World Cup group stage in a 1-1 draw.
"It was a game to remember. I think all the players and even the fans on the sidelines will never forget it. Tomorrow it will be a very different match, but Italy are a team we know well, there will be no surprises."
The match kicks off at 20:30 local time at the Loftus Versfeld Stadion.
