VIDEO: Cooper Talks Development, Staying With Dallas

Kenny Cooper spoke Goal.com about the January training camp, his development, and staying with Dallas for 2009. Watch the exclusive video.

2008 was quite the year for Kenny Cooper. He scored 18 Major League Soccer goals to place second in the overall goalscoring charts, he saw a proposed deal to Cardiff City crumble at the last moment, and he started to break into the USA national team.

The FC Dallas striker is currently in Carson, Calif. training with the national squad ahead of a friendly versus Sweden later this month. He took some time out to speak exclusively to Goal.com.

One highlight was his assurance that he will be back in Texas next year, and not pursuing a move abroad as was commonly assumed.

"I'm focused on returning back to Dallas," said the burly hitman. "I'm really looking forward to that. I've got two more years left on my contract in Dallas. That's my team and that's my focus.
