Brad Guzan kicked off the English Premier League season in style, posting a shutout in Aston Villa's 1-0 win over Stoke. If Tim Howard really is ready to pass on the torch for the U.S. national team, then Brad Guzan has certainly put a strong foot forward in his quest to be his successor.
Guzan kicked off the new English Premier League season in style, making two saves in Aston Villa’s 1-0 victory against Stoke City. Guzan was the only American to start in a victory in the Premier League’s opening weekend.

A regular starter for the past two seasons, Cameron has been the subject of heavy transfer speculation, and his absence from Saturday’s match could be a sign that the U.S. defender is ready to make a move.
