thumbnail Hello,

The American winger continued his strong start to the season, pushing his side into fourth place in Ligue 1 with the 87th-minute tally.

Already off to a strong start in Ligue 1, Alejandro Bedoya opened his scoring account with Nantes on Saturday — in dramatic fashion against a familiar foe, no less.

Bedoya scored on Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa in the 87th minute of Nantes' 1-0 win over AC Ajaccio, a result that pushed the newly promoted side into fourth place.

Filip Djordjevic created the opportunity for Nantes, making a run down the left flank before hitting a service to the far post that evaded Ochoa and fell to Bedoya for the finish.

While emerging as a starter for Nantes after arriving over the summer from Swedish side Helsingborg, Bedoya has also broken into Jurgen Klinsmann's regular rotation with the U.S. national team. After a standout Gold Cup, the 26-year-old started the USA's final three World Cup qualifiers.
