Orozco Fiscal scores in Puebla's loss to Cruz Azul

The U.S. national team defender opened his account with the Mexican side with the opening goal against Cruz Azul, but the visitors scored twice late to steal three points.
Michael Orozco Fiscal scored his first goal in a Puebla uniform Sunday, but Cruz Azul battled back to take a 2-1 result at Estadio Cuauhtemoc.

The U.S. national team defender's early tally opened the scoring, but Mariano Pavone's 80th-minute equalizer was followed by Joao Rojas' 88th-minute winner, forcing Puebla to fall to 1-2-4 in the Liga Bancomer MX Apertura campaign.

Orozco Fiscal, who was forced to withdraw from the USA's August friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina with a hamstring injury, headed home from a free kick by Matias Alustiza in the 27th minute to open the scoring. He and fellow USA defender DaMarcus Beasley both went the distance in the loss.

Orozco Fiscal had previously scored five goals in all competitions in Mexico for San Luis in addition to two while a member of the Philadelphia Union in 2010 prior to his goal Sunday. He also has two U.S. national team goals to his name including the one that defeated Mexico at Estadio Azteca 1-0 last August for the USA's first win on Mexican soil. As a member of the CONCACAF Gold Cup-winning side this summer, he scored in a 6-1 group stage victory over Belize.
