Alfredo Morales scores first goal for Hertha Berlin in victory

The German-American midfielder scored for the first time in his senior-team career on Sunday, ensuring he'd have a happy 23rd birthday.
U.S. international Afredo Morales gave himself the perfect birthday present, scoring the eventual game-winning goal for Hertha Berlin in a 2-1 win over FC Cologne on Sunday.

On his 23rd birthday, Morales scored in the 55th minute to put Hertha up 2-0. The goal was the first for Morales in his senior team career. He has started three matches in a row for the 2. Bundesliga side, which has already secured promotion to the Bundesliga for next season.

Morales has been capped for the U.S. national team on one occasion, and he is a candidate for Jurgen Klinsmann's Gold Cup roster this summer.
