The American midfielder lasted the duration as his side moved back into first place with a convincing performance.
U.S. national team midfielder Sacha Kljestan played a full 90 minutes for RSC Anderlecht as the defending champion put five goals past hapless KRC Genk in the Beligian Jupiler League.

The mid-table side had no response to the capital club, which scored two in four minutes in the first half, with Tom De Sutter and Dennis Praet on target in the 19th and 23rd minutes, before a second-half onslaught sealed the deal. De Sutter notched his second in the 68th minutes, with Massimo Bruno and Oleksandr Yakovenko completing the rout in the 74th and 82nd minutes.

Kljestan made 38 appearances in all competitions for Anderlecht last season as the club marched to its 31st Belgian league title and claimed a spot in the UEFA Champions League. He has made 14 appearances thus far this year, including four Champions League starts, to force himself back into the reckoning for the United States.
