Young USA midfielder nets his second goal since joining Norwegian title challengers.

Mix Diskerud's spell with Norwegian power Rosenborg continues to be a success, as the 21-year-old Norwegian-American midfielder netted his second goal since joining the club this summer on Friday.

Diskerud scored in the 88th minute to cap off a 5-2 victory for Rosenborg over Haugesund, a win that temporarily shoots Rosenborg to the top of the table in Norway's top flight. The club holds a one point edge over Josh Gatt's Molde, which has a game in hand. Rosenborg trailed 1-0 at halftime before exploding for five tallies to regain control, with Diskerud's goal finishing off the scoring.

Diskerud's other goal with Rosenborg was a crucial one, as it was the decider in a UEFA Europa League playoff series that put the club into the group stage. Diskerud, who turns 22 next week and has represented the USA on the youth and senior levels but is not yet cap-tied, is on loan with Rosenborg through the end of this season from cash-strapped Stabaek, a team destined for relegation.
