After originally being released, Guzan is back with the Villains.
''I've watched Brad and some of his games when he was on the team last year and he was excellent,'' said Villa manager Paul Lambert.
Guzan, 27, has been with the Premier League club since 2008 when he left Chivas USA for Europe. He was originally drafted with the second overall pick in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft and went on to make 79 appearances for the club. With Villa, he's only managed eight first team apperances and spent time on loan with Hull in 2011.
The Illinois native has also been capped by the USMNT on 20 occasions since 2006.
