Speculation continues to run rampant as several U.S. internationals are on the verge of transfers, while one big move has finally gone through.
Michael Bradley: The former Chievo man has officially signed with AS Roma. The club posted a picture of the midfielder arriving in Riscone for pre-season training camp. While this deal was all but done last week, this news puts a nice bow on the whole thing.Charlie Davies: Former U.S. international Charlie Davies returned to Scandinavia and joined Danish club Randers last week. The striker signed a two-year deal with hopes of reviving his career in the region where he had his most successful run. Davies played for Swedish side Hammarby IF, scoring 21 goals in 56 appearances. A terrible car accident briefly derailed his career in 2009 but after stops in France and MLS, Davies is hoping for a northern resurgence.
Clint Dempsey: Liverpool is the frontrunner to land Dempsey and is reportedly constructing a $12 million dollar offer for the goal-scorer. Both Spurs and Everton have been linked to Dempsey recently but Liverpool has begun to stick out as the favorite. A deal could to be completed within the next week.
Geoff Cameron: Stoke City may not get the 26-year-old defender after all. MLS Commissioner Don Garber is big on retaining the league's young stars and since the league controls all contracts and decides when to sell player rights, Cameron is at the mercy of the powers that be. Cameron has publicly said that going overseas is the next step but Stoke City’s $2 million dollar offer may not be enough.
Brad Guzan: Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has warned Shay Given that Brad Guzan could challenge for the first choice keeper spot next season. While Guzan has yet to put pen to paper, the 27-year-old is expected back in Birmingham sooner rather than later.
Carlos Bocanegra: Greek club Olympiakos is reportedly interested in the defender. The Greek Super League giant will play in the Champions League next season which could be a huge incentive for Bocanegra.
