The transfer season got off to a slow start with Euro 2012 and World Cup qualifying dominating the news, but the rumor mill is back with players searching for new clubs.
This is a big opportunity for Bradley as AS Roma is a top-notch Italian club. Despite not qualifying for European competition, the usually-contending squad should be back in the saddle for the 2012-13 season which will give Bradley a chance to shine and help lead Roma back to the upper echelon of the table.
Clint Dempsey: Both Liverpool and Tottenham are rumored to be lining up offers for Dempsey. After losing out on Gylfi Sigurdsson, the Merseyside outfit is especially determined to land the charismatic goal-scorer in order to add some firepower. At 29 years-old, Deuce’s prime is coming to a close but he would still be a major coup for the Reds due to his tenacity, eye for the goal, and Premier League experience.
Geoff Cameron: Stoke City is on the verge of signing the 26-year-old defender from the Houston Dynamo. The Premier League outfit is keen on bringing Cameron over but there have been several negotiations with Stoke, Houston, and MLS regarding the transfer. All signs point to the defender heading across the pond sooner rather than later.
Brad Guzan: New Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert, who is a fan of Brad Guzan, is expected to green light signing the keeper within the next few days. The 27-year-old did not come to new terms following the 2011-12 season but he is expected to join up soon. The Villains leave for an American tour next week and would like to have Guzan along for the ride.
Maurice Edu, Carlos Bocanegra, and Alejandro Bedoya: Following the liquidation of Rangers, the club was overwhelmingly voted out of the Scottish Premier League for the 2012-13 season. Ultimately the club will likely end up in the third division and due to the liquidation, several player contracts were not picked up, including the ones for Edu, Bocanegra, and Bedoya. Bocanegra has hinted at returning to MLS while Edu has expressed interest in playing for a Champions League caliber club.
