The Fulham star scored his 19th goal in all competitions this season, while the Aston Villa defender netted the first goal of his Premier League career.
Clint Dempsey and Eric Lichaj scored goals for Fulham and Aston Villa respectively on Saturday. While Dempsey scored his 13th English Premier League goal this campaign, Lichaj tallied his first EPL goal this season, and indeed, the first of his career.
Dempsey opened the scoring early for Fulham against Norwich City, as he was on hand to turn in a rebound with his knee in just the second minute. Just 10 minutes later, he slotted a fantastic ball through to Damian Duff to give the home side a 2-0 lead.
Fulham would hold on for a 2-1 win in the match to move level on points with Norwich and into a tie for 10th in the EPL standings.
Meanwhile, Lichaj started his first EPL game since last season.
The 23-year-old defender has seen his season cut short after missing five months with a hip injury, but he marked his return to the starting lineup in style.
Facing a 2-0 defecit, his long throw in the 77th minute was headed home by James Collins, before he slid home an equalizer at the far post just four minutes later. The goal was his second of the year after he scored in an Carling Cup match in August.
Unfortunately for Lichaj and Villa, Chelsea was able to score two late goals, and ended up winning the match 4-2 at Villa Park.
