Bolton's Tim Ream makes first Premier League start

The American made his debut for Bolton a week ago in the FA Cup before starting against Chelsea in the EPL on Saturday.
Tim Ream is already getting valuable playing time after bolting for England from Major League Soccer during the January transfer window.

The American defender made his debut for Premier League side Bolton last weekend in a 2-0 victory over Millwall in the English FA Cup. On Saturday, he made his first EPL start in a matchup against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Ream played the entire match and held his own, but Bolton conceded three times in the second half of a 3-0 loss.

Ream was acquired on a $2.5 million transfer deal from the New York Red Bulls, who drafted the 24-year-old with the 18th overall pick in 2010.

Ream, a U.S. international, was not selected for the national team's friendly in Italy on Wednesday.
