Jozy Altidore scores two goals in AZ's 6-0 demolition of ADO Den Haag

The brace was Altidore's first goals since the beginning of December after the American striker slowed down after a fast start to the season.
Before Wednesday's match against ADO Den Haag, U.S. international forward Jozy Altidore hadn't scored a goal since Dec. 4.

Consider the slump over.

Altidore, who has fallen out of the starting lineup recently, entered AZ's league match in the 76th minute, and tallied in the 85th and 88th minute to increase his side's margin of victory to 6-0.

The 22-year-old now has 11 goals in all competitions on the season, which is a career high for him in Europe.

The win brought AZ to the top of the Eredivisie, level on points with PSV in first place. AZ will face Excelsior on Saturday, looking to strengthen its position in the Dutch league.
