Landon Donovan got his second assist since joining Everton on loan as the Toffees earned a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.
Darren Bent opened the scoring in the 56th minute to give Villa a lead in the second half. But in the 69th the American picked up an outlet from Tim Howard and broke forward on the counter. A perfectly weighted through ball from Donovan connected with a well-timed run from Victor Anichebe, who pulled the match level.
It was Donovan's first assist in league play as his earlier assist during his loan spell came from a corner in an FA Cup match.
Donovan would also see fellow LA Galaxy player Robbie Keane make his loan debut in the match. The forward came on for Aston Villa in the 81st minute, but neither of the Galaxy stars could find a winner.
