Contribution was mainly from the sideline in a game that he really struggled to impose himself on. Anonymous afternoon, but got an assist nonetheless.
Made a couple of great saves to deny Obinna and Keane from near-on point blank range. Despite having only appeared in only the FA Cup this year, he did not look like a man short of first team action.
Smashed the winner from a free-kick right on the edge of the box, but otherwise did little in the game other than back-up Etherington's raids down the left.
Will be remembered for notching his 8th goal of the season when left totally unmarked in the box. With West Ham's forwards out-of-sorts, had a relatively straight-forward afternoon.
Made a series of robust challenges that more than rattled a few cages. A mature display that saw him place an initially buoyant Cole in his back pocket.
Sturdy job in a game made easy for him by Pennant's willingness to go at his man down the right flank.
Gave the team the balance they have been missing of late. Should have scored in the first minute and rather questionably won a penalty which he then proceeded to miss but was an enterprising presence willing to burst in the opposition final third and show a bit of much-needed invention.
Constant good delivery from the right flank in a display that showed that when on his game, can be a thorn in any team's side.
Did well not to be over-run in a central midfield battle where he was outnumbered. Limited distribution but had all the battling qualities that have come to be expected of him.
Was a nuisance without really providing any creative moments of quality. Evidently part of a game plan that worked on the day.
An industrious performance overall. Willingness to drop into the hole between Jones and the midfield, pulled West Ham's center-halves all over the show but could do little on the ball himself to craft chances on goal.
A fine performance in what many 'keepers would say is one of the toughest fixtures of the year. A general command of his area, punctuated by decent stops throughout and a fantastic full-stretch penalty save. Perhaps could have kept out the free-kick for Stoke's second goal but given the power of the strike, and limited vision, did well to tip it onto the post at least.
M. da Costa
Could have done little about either of the goals and didn't really put a foot wrong at all all afternoon. Endured a persist battle with Walters throughout.
Always composed on the ball, West Ham were not able to fully utilize Tomkins' attacking prowess due to the constant headache Etherington provided down the left. Slung and excellent ball into the near post that Keane should have tucked away.
Was denied the chance to advance up the pitch by constantly being put on the back foot by Pennant. Did little in possession of the ball in a largely unremarkable afternoon.
Dealt well with the inevitable bombardment he would have prepared himself to face. Was aided by the one-dimensional aspect of Jones' play but nevertheless, performed a difficult task well. Was unlucky to see his header rattle the bar late on.
Der Hammer underlined his growing importance to the side with another mature display. Sprayed the ball around all day, setting up his side's goal with a glorious diagonal pass. Was not afraid to put his foot in either.
Stoke dominated the early exchanges but as the game got scrappier, Noble found it more to his liking. Showed a willingness to get forward, yet as the ball rarely stuck up top, too often found himself in no-man's land.
Grabbed his team by the scruff of the neck when they were in severe danger of getting over-run all over the park. A typically dogged display combined with a refined use of the ball.
After a bright opening with a few nifty displays of fast feet, the striker became progressively more quiet as the game went on. His more telling contributions came in his own defensive third, notably clearing one off the line when Green flapped at a cross.
Did nothing before netting the equalizer amid voracious calls for handball. Whether with his chest, shoulder or arm, took the ball down well, lofted it over the keeper and bundled it over the line. Injured in the bundling part of the goal and was subsequently replaced on 35.

Came on at the late stages of the first half and helped shore the team up defensively when they were in danger of being over run.

- Boa Morte

Didn't look his usual sharp self and should have done better than force a save from Sorensen when the ball was whipped into him at the near post.
