Adu Looks Set To Make Belenenses Matchday Roster
After recently arriving on loan from Benfica, American starlet Freddy Adu could finally see some action with his new club, Belenenses.

Having been with the club for less than a month, it’s not unusual to think that Freddy Adu might have a bit of adjusting to do before he gets out there with his new teammates in match action.
It appears likely that he’ll be in the line-up when his new side, Belenenses, take on Rio Ave in the first round of the League Cup on Wednesday according to www.ojogo.pt.
If Adu makes it to the field, it’ll be his first appearance with the club and would be a good start to getting his career back on track.
A native of Ghana, Adu joined Benfica from Real Salt Lake back in 2007 when the decided a move abroad would be the best step to further his career. In his first season with Benfica, Adu only managed 11 appearances, but management was thought to be happy with his training and progress.
Prior to his stint with RSL, Adu played with DC United for three seasons, amassing 87 appearances and scoring eleven goals. He’s also been actively involved with the U.S. National Team having taken the field at four different levels of the team, including 12 times for the senior squad.
