Goal.com's Luis Bueno takes a look at how the small contingent of Americans did with their respective Mexican clubs on the weekend.

The Mexican league has kicked off and with the new season comes another opportunity for American-born and naturalized citizens to show display their talents with their respective Mexican clubs.

Such players that fall into that category: Jose Francisco Torres (plays for Pachuca, native of Longview, Texas), Michael Orozco (San Luis; Orange, Calif.), Edgar Castillo (Tigres; Las Cruces, N.M.), Marco Antonio Vidal (Indios; Dallas) and Jesus Padilla (Chivas; San Jose, Calif.). Also, U.S. U-20 World Cup veteran and Mexico native Samuel Ochoa of Estudiantes Tecos and product of Riverside Poly High in California.

Jose Francisco Torres: Did not play in Pachuca's 3-2 win over Estudiantes Tecos.

Michael Orozco: San Luis will play America on Wednesday.

Edgar Castillo: Played 90 minutes in Tigres' 1-1 draw with Puebla.

Marco Antonio Vidal: Started and played 73 minutes in Indios' 0-0 draw with Monterrey.

Samuel Ochoa: Played final 11 minutes in Estudiantes Tecos' 3-2 loss to Pachuca.

Jesus Padilla: Played final 28 minutes in Chivas' 4-3 loss at Toluca.
