Gooch To Milan: Right Or Wrong Move?
Now that the ink has dried on Onyewu’s new Milan contract, we ask you the Goal.com reader if the move was a good idea.
It is without question one of the biggest player moves in the history of U.S. Soccer. Oguchi Onyewu is now an official member of Italian giants AC Milan.
We want to know what you think.
The move is a huge one for the center backs career and following the Confederations Cup, everyone knew his stock was rising. He’ll get a chance to play for one of the best clubs in the world alongside some of the best players in the world.
It’s an obvious step up in competition given the place Serie A holds in the ranks of the best soccer divisions, so Onyewu will obviously grow as a player.
People have questioned if the move was too big for Onyewu. Will he get on the field for the Rossoneri? Will he be able to keep up with the top talent on the planet? That remains to be seen.
So, take a side. Will Gooch make it at Milan? Chime in below in the comments section or visit the forum to further your say.
