Clint Dempsey Happy With Life At Fulham
The American international has praised the club for making him a better player...
The USA have reached the final of the competition, making it their first ever men's FIFA final, and Dempsey scored the second goal in a 2-0 win over Spain in the semi-finals.
The 26-year-old has praised the Cottagers for making him a better player, and feels he is now a more complete player since his move to Craven Cottage.
Speaking to Sunday Mirror, Dempsey said, "I think I have two more years left at Fulham and I'm happy and enjoying my time there.
"You never know in football, it's so crazy, but I feel like I'm developing as a player and don't need to move. That's the most important thing.
"Roy Hodgson, Mike Kelly and Ray Lewington have done a great job helping me develop as a player.
"I'm a more complete player now than when I first arrived in England
"I owe a lot to them. It was a successful season for us and we're in the Europa League now and I'm very excited about that as well.
"I'm looking forward to going back there."
Dempsey has been at Fulham since 2007, joining from Major League Soccer side New England Revolution, and has since played 81 Premier League games for the club, scoring 14 times.
