VIDEO: Eddie Lewis on Donovan’s Germany Move

Long-time veteran Eddie Lewis, one the most successful American players ever in the European game, chimes in on how Landon Donovan will do in Germany.

Eddie Lewis is without question one of the most technically sound players to ever suit up for the United States.

The 34-year-old Los Angeles Galaxy winger, who came home in the summer seemingly to finish his career on American soil, has also been arguably one of the most successful Americans in Europe.

Lewis, who spent his entire European career in English football, played for four different clubs in the English F.A. spending time in both the Premier League and the Championship. The move back to America teamed him up with star Landon Donovan, who is now trying to make a move similar to the one Lewis made, albeit in a different country, to the top levels of European football.

Lewis’s experience with both the European game and the unique talents of Donovan made him the perfect person for Goal.com to interview for a take on how Landon will fair overseas.

See what Lewis had to say about Donovan and what the young forward will need to be successful overseas in the exclusive Goal.com interview below.
