Bradley To Stay At Heerenveen After All?
Michael Bradley might remain at Eredivisie side Heerenveen after all. The American midfielder is aiming for a move to the Premiership, but no serious offers have been made thus far.
Bradley will return to the club on Friday after participating at the Olympics for USA. However, it’s still uncertain whether he’ll play for De Friezen this season.
The player has his heart set on a Premiership switch, but Heerenveen will not let him leave on the cheap. “Bradley is allowed to go, but only if the price is right,” stated director Yme Kuiper.
Bradley made it clear that he’s not going to renew his current deal, which expires in 2009. This means that the Eredivisie side have to sell him this year if they want to receive any money for their star player.
The energetic midfielder scored fifteen times in 33 league appearances last season and attracted the interest of several teams. Premiership side Everton and German outfit Hamburger SV were repeatedly linked to the midfielder.
A good performance on the Olympics would have helped Bradley in attracting further interest, but he was unable to shine in Beijing. The US were eliminated at the group phase after losing to high-flying Nigeria.
