Montreal Impact negotiating with Hernan Bernardello

The Impact hope to sign the Argentine as a designated player, and will meet with the player this week.
The Montreal Impact announced Monday that they are in "advanced" negotiations with Argentine midfielder Hernan Bernardello.

The 26-year-old was most recently with Atletico Colon, where he was on loan from Spanish outfit UD Almeria. In his one season with Colon, Bernardello made 25 appearances and scored once. He also featured 100 times for Almeria in the Spanish first and second divisions from 2009 to 2012.

Prior to his move to Europe, Bernardello started his professional career with hometown team Newell's Old Boys. He spent three years at the Rosario-based club, making 82 league appearances and scored three times.

Bernardello earned one cap for Argentina's national side, featuring in a 2009 friendly against Panama.
