Simeon Jackson capped off his first Premier League season with a goal, while Milan Borjan's FC Vaslui reeled off its seventh straight win in the Romanian top flight.

Jackson tallies for Norwich in Premier League season ender

Simeon Jackson struck for the insurance marker as Norwich City ended its EPL campaign on a high note, defeating Aston Villa 2-0.

Jackson latched on to a horrendous headed clearance by a Villa defender and knocked in the rebound after his initial effort was saved. The goal was Jackson's third in the league this season (fifth in all competitions), and he almost added a fourth at the hour mark when his low, driven shot from outside the Villa 18-yard box was well-saved by a sprawling Shay Given.

Norwich finishes the season on 47 points, good enough for 12th place in the Premiership.

Hoilett goes 90 minutes in Blackburn loss

Junior Hoilett started and played the full match for Blackburn Rovers in their 2-1 loss at Chelsea on Sunday.

The game was Blackburn's final EPL contest for at least a season, as Rovers were relegated to the Championship for next year.

Hoilett ended the Premier League campaign with seven goals, and rumours of his departure from Blackburn have only started to heat up.

Haber sits out St. Johnstone defeat

23-year-old Marcus Haber watched from the bench on Sunday as his side St. Johnstone was thrashed 4-0 by SPL giant Rangers.

The Saints end their Scottish Premier League season in sixth place and out of a European spot.

High-flying Vaslui claims another victory

Milan Borjan earned a clean sheet as his team FC Vaslui fought to a 1-0 win over Sportul Studenţesc on the weekend.

The victory was the seventh straight for Vaslui, which has now shot to the top of the Romanian top tier with just two matches left to play.

Simpson plays 65 for Young Boys in draw

Josh Simpson was in the starting lineup and lasted 65 minutes for BSC Young Boys in their 2-2 deadlock with FC Thun in the Swiss Super League.

The draw keeps Young Boys in the final Swiss Europa League spot by the narrowest of margins, as Simpson's side only leads fourth-place Servette by goal differential.

Chencinski shelled in Sweden

Goalkeeper Tomer Chencinski was on the losing end of a 3-0 scoreline as Örebro fell at Norrköping in Sweden's Allsvenskan on Sunday.

Örebro has yet to win in nine league matches this year.

AIK, Stamatopoulos shut out by Elfsborg

Kenny Stamatopoulos didn't find it any easier in Swedish action over the weekend, as he backstopped AIK to a 1-0 loss at Elfsborg.

Stamatopoulos has established himself as AIK's number one 'keeper in recent weeks.

Vålerenga has winning streak snapped

Las Hirschfeld's Vålerenga saw an end to its four-game winning streak (in all competitions) on Saturday, when host Tromsø won its Eliteserien tilt 3-1. Hirschfeld was in goal for Vålerenga, which dropped to sixth in the Norwegian league.

O'Neill goes the distance in MyPa win

Striker Riley O'Neill was in the starting lineup and played all 90 minutes for MyPa in a 3-1 win over Haka in Finland's Veikkausliiga.

O'Neill didn't figure into any of the scoring in the win, which sees MyPa into third on the league table.

Mariehamn win 2-0 over Lahti

Mason Trafford played 90 for IFK Mariehamn in a 2-0 victory over Lahti, which boosted Trafford's club to fifth in the Veikkausliiga.

Mariehamn has 11 points after six games, all of which Trafford has started.
