Canada's Josh Simpson ends contract with Manisaspor
The Canadian midfielder terminated his contract with the Turkish club, which may take legal action against the player.
Turkish club Manisaspor announced on its official website that Canadian attacker Josh Simpson has terminated his contract with the team.
Simpson claims Manisaspor owes him unpaid wages. However, the club denies this claim and may take legal action against the 28-year-old for breach of contract.
If Simpson can walk away from the club, there is a possibility he could land with the Vancouver Whitecaps. He played his youth career in British Columbia and Portland.
Simpson, who led Manisaspor in scoring last season, scored the only goal in a 2-1 loss to Fenerbahce on Monday. He also stars for the Canada's national team.
