Whitecaps’ Haber Joins England’s West Bromwich
The talented youngster is off to play in England after impressing on trial late last year.
The Vancouver Whitecaps have announced that forward Marcus Haber has joined West Bromwich Albion of the Football League Championship in England, according to a press release from the club.
A native of Vancouver, Haber had a successful rookie campaign with the Whitecaps, scoring eight goals in 30 appearances for the soon-to-be Major League Soccer club. He was also named the 2009 USL-1 Rookie of the Year.
Haber, 20, joins a West Brom side who sit in second position in the Championship, six points off of league leaders Newcastle.
