The Chivas de Guadalajara playmaker was happy after Mexico's U-23 team defeated Team GB in a warmup, and assured El Tri will return with a medal.

After scoring the only goal in this weekend's friendly match against Team GB in Marbella, Spain, Mexico's Marco Fabian exuded confidence as El Tri prepares for the Olympic Games.

"Good day, Mexico! [We're] happy about the win which we dedicate to all of you. We're going for it all in London, we're going for a medal," tweeted Fabian following the 1-0 victory.

Monterrey defender Hiram Mier picked up a knock during the game, but appeared to be fine afterwards, tweeting to fans that the injury was "just a little nuisance".

Ryan Giggs, Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards were all available for Team GB and participated in the match, which was held behind closed doors and structured into three periods of 30 minutes each.

Mexico will kick off its campaign in London on July 26 when it faces South Korea at St. James' Park in Newcastle.

Team GB will face Senegal, also on July 26, at Old Trafford.
