Mexico international Alan Pulido could be playing for Greek outfit Olympiakos next season, according to reports from Greece.
Tigres forward Pulido was on the front page of a number of Greek publications on Friday, with Sport Day mentioning that Olympiakos is confirmed as being interested in the player.
Sport 24 said the club is willing to part with 7.5 million euros for the center forward.
The 23-year-old has made a bright start to his international career, scoring four goals in his first three appearances and is currently in negotiations with Tigres over a new contract.
Pulido told reporters in Monterrey on Wednesday that his current deal expires in June, but indicated a priority is making sure there are provisions to make sure his “dream” of playing in Europe can happen.
He also acknowledged the interest from Olympiakos and said a move to the Greek champion appeals to him.
“Obviously, I would like to go and play there,” said Pulido. “It is a team that plays in the Champions (League) and it wouldn’t be at all bad.”
Olympiakos is currently managed by Real Madrid legend Michel, who ended his playing career with Atletico Celaya in Mexico.
