thumbnail Hello,

Sergio Almaguer will take 21 players who participated in the Toulon Tournament to Turkey as El Tri looks for another strong finish on the U-20s' grand stage.

Mexico Under-20 manager Sergio Almaguer is taking the same roster with him to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey that he selected for the recent Toulon Tournament -- except for excluding Santos Laguna's Candido Ramirez -- as El Tri looks to build on the third-place finish its U-20s were able to achieve in 2011 in Colombia.

Among the 21 players Almaguer selected are a pair of MLS youngsters: FC Dallas goalkeeper Richard Sanchez, who won the 2011 U-17 World Cup with Mexico; and Chivas USA forward Julio Morales, who scored one of Mexico's goals at the Toulon Tournament, where El Tri finished in sixth place.

According to an announcement by the Mexican federation, Almaguer's side will train in Spain for a week before arriving in Gazientep, Turkey, on June 17. Mexico will play its group games against Greece, Paraguay and Mali at Kamil Ocak Stadium there on June 22, 25 and 28, respectively.
