thumbnail Hello,

The center back has recovered from an ankle injury and will be available for America's crunch clash with CONCACAF Champions League winner Monterrey.

America coach Miguel Herrera will have a full deck of cards with which to work as his side attempts to reach its first Liga MX final since 2007 on Saturday against Monterrey in the Estadio Azteca.

Center back Diego Reyes missed the second leg of the quarterfinal against Pumas with an ankle injury and sat out Wednesday’s 2-2 draw in Monterrey, but the soon-to-be Porto player is in his manager’s thoughts for the return leg.

“Diego tried out yesterday (Wednesday), he was feeling a little pain and we preferred not to risk him,” stated Herrera. “Between today and tomorrow (Friday), with the hard work he’ll do, the ankle will be ready.”

Red-hot Ecuadoran striker Christian Benitez is also available, following doubts that a knock he took on Wednesday would be enough to sideline the 27-year-old, who has four goals in his last two matches.

For Rayados, there is mixed news on the injury front. Argentine winger Cesar “Chelito” Delgado is set to be out for the rest of the liguilla with a thigh injury, while Jonathan Orozco will return in goal for the vital matchup. Monterrey coach Victor Manuel Vucetich is upbeat about his side’s chance, despite needing a victory to reach next week’s final.

“There is no tomorrow, these stages are life or death, on Saturday we have a great opportunity,” Vucetich said.
