Tomas Boy calls out veteran referee

The Atlas manager was not too pleased after being tossed from last weekend's match, calling referee Marco Rodriguez a "liar"
After being kicked out of Saturday’s showdown between Atlas and Gallos Blancos, Rojinegro manager Tomas Boy has called out veteran referee Marco Rodriguez for abusing his authority.

“The referee Rodriguez is a liar, and he should be investigated for falsifying the report,” the coach said. “And he should be punished severely because he can’t act with such impunity.”

Boy was sent off after the game, a scoreless tie in a derby to move further away from relegation for both clubs, and would serve his suspension this weekend.

Nevertheless, Boy says that his Board of Directors should intervene to prevent an injustice on the part of the man known to some as “Chiquidracula.”

“If my Board acts that would be very good,” he said. “You can’t falsify a report. There should be an investigation. I don’t like being punished for something so unfair. It’s personal between this referee and me.”
