Mexico's Francisco 'Maza' Rodriguez frustrated by lack of playing time on the club level

The Stuttgart center back expressed his displeasure on Twitter, saying, "I'm holding my head high in the face of this lack of respect."
El Tri center back Francisco “Maza” Rodriguez has taken to Twitter to lament his current inactivity at club team Stuttgart.

The Mexico regular has seen his playing time in the Bundesliga drop suddenly, having not started a match since Oct. 7, while making only intermittent sub appearances.

“Thanks for the support,” Maza said on Twitter. “I’m holding my head high in the face of this lack of respect towards me. The January transfer market is coming up, and I’ll keep working.”

Rodriguez struggled for playing time with his club late in the 2011-2012 Bundesliga campaign, but looked to have regained a starting spot this season after turning out regularly for El Tri over the summer.

He indicated that the lack of regular playing time with the club could be a problem at the international level if the situation isn’t solved by next year’s Hexagonal.
“Very hard to be in top footballing shape for my country and my team,” he wrote ont he social network.
