Monterrey's placement in the world table has raised some eyebrows, as the Pandilla have climbed atop a bevy of big European teams, including Manchester United, which sits at 33rd and one spot below. Also below Monterrey is Schalke, Udiense and Arsenal who are tied at 34th.
Santos can look down at Borussia Dortmund, sitting at 40, Tottenham Hotspur at 43 and PSG, at 49.
Topping the list for MLS clubs are the Seattle Sounders, who dropped down from 94th last month to 132nd, tying with Everton. Club Sport Herediano is the best Central American club, at 140.
