Vicente Montes has once again noted that Giovani dos Santos is struggling to find a place outside of White Hart Lane due to the steep prices set by Tottenham's brass.
With the transfer window nearly shutting and a bevy of teams interested in him, Giovani dos Santos' lawyer Vicente Montes has a simple explanation as to why his client has yet to leave Tottenham.
"Spurs' president [Daniel Levy] is a hard obstacle to overcome," Montes told Calciomercato. "The Modric affair confirms this."
According to Montes, Dos Santos' preferred destination is Spain, but Serie A teams have also been hot on his trail.
"Various teams have shown interest in the past. Inter Milan, Fiorentina, Milan, Genoa and Roma," Montes noted. "[Atletico Madrid] is there, but also other Spanish teams, including Sevilla, Espanyol, Granada and Malaga have asked for information."
However, Montes was quick to dispel that Inter, which was rumored to plan a swap for goalkeeper Julio Cesar, has made a concrete offer.
"In the case of Inter and Fiorentina, several clubs are interested in the player, but until now we don't have a concrete offer," he said.
Tottenham has been unwavering in its desire to cash in on Dos Santos, and with economic struggles affecting even the biggest teams in Europe, the Olympic gold medalist has been a hard sell.
"Giovani still has a contract with Tottenham. The market today lives a very difficult time," Montes told the Italian website.
