Club America showcases new players as it kicks off U.S. friendly tour

In Fresno, Jaguares defeated the Aguilas 2-0. Former Celtic right back Efrain Juarez made his debut with Club America.
In front of a packed Chukchansi Park in Fresno, Club América started its preseason tour of the United States by trotting out its new signings in the starting lineup against Jaguares de Chiapas.

Adrian Aldrete, Rubens Sambueza and former Celtic right back Efrain Juarez were all in the first 11 penciled in by manager Miguel Herrera against the southern Mexico club.

The new additions proved worthy of a spot on the team, as constant wing attacks spearheaded at various times by the trio nearly put a dent in Fabian Villaseñor's net.

In the second half, multiple substitutions by America allowed Jaguares to push up front, culminating in a 60th minute strike by Luis Antonio Noriega to put the felines ahead 1-0.

Twenty minutes later, Franco Arizala put the match away by making it 2-0 and sending the pro-America crowd home unhappy.

Club America will continue its set of matches in the United States with a June 30 showdown against Xolos de Tijuana at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium.
