America's Reinoso Hurt By Derby Loss

America's Carlos Reinoso said the loss to Cruz Azul stung.
America's defeat at the hands of Cruz Azul on Sunday was painful because it was a loss but it was more difficult because of who it was against.

"It hurts beacuse it's a loss in a derby and as I always say, derbies are won, not talked about," America manager Carlos Reinoso said in a press conference. "They beat us because of two mistakes we made."

America was not overwhelmed by Cruz Azul, which made the loss tougher for Reinoso to deal with.

"I'm hurt because I know we could have done more," he said. "We could have gotten a better result. We had chances but couldn't make them but they made their two and deserved to win."

The win was more than just painful because of what happened in the game, but also because of what it revealed to Reinoso about his team.

"I feel like we have a ways to go before we can be a team that competes for important things," he said. "We have to finish our opportunities. They were able to finish and that's how derbies go."
