Bosnia fans - The Bosnia-Herzegovina national soccer team had never made the trip to the United States. Several fan thousand fans of the team made the trip to watch their team play for the first time in the states. Even though they lost, the team gave a good performance and kept Mexico on their toes. They showed that they will be ready for the Euro 2012 qualification campaign. There may have been several key players missing from the squad, but once those are incorporated they’ll give fans more joy.
Jesus Corona - It seems like the pre-World Cup drama around the goalkeeper has settled. Corona was in great form against Bosnia and made several key saves that kept the opposition from getting into the game. With Jose de la Torre calling up players based on form rather than popularity, this could be Corona’s opportunity to establish himself as the national team goalkeeper.
Edgar Pacheco - The Atlas player made a great impact on the field against Bosnia. He was a constant threat which ultimately resulted in his first goal with the national team. At only 21-years-old, he’s one for the future of the Mexican national team.
Jose Manuel de la Torre - The new ‘El Tri’ manager did more than the previous two Mexican managers(Hugo Sanchez and Javier Aguirre). The last manager to kick off their time at the helm was Sven Goran Eriksson in 2008. De La Torre debuted with a win and he looks to have a good base of players for the upcoming years.
Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez - If it were any other player his performance would be deemed average. However, Hernandez has accustomed fans to spectacular, game winning outings. The Manchester United player missed a sitter and a penalty, though it wasn‘t because he wasn‘t trying. When a player scores goals with his face, perhaps you get spoiled and expect too much from every performance.
Mexican defense - The defense did a decent job against Bosnia. Several of the players attacked and looked solid throughout the game. However, they left Corona exposed many times. Also, set pieces continue to trouble the back row. They continually conceded corner kicks; another team probably won’t be as forgiving.
