Omar Arellano hopes his team's hated rival helps him find the back of the net.

Chivas' Omar Arellano has yet to score a goal this season but if any team can bring out the best in him, it is America.

Arellano has scored three goals against America in his career and hopes this week's Superclasico will help him break through this season.

"The truth is I've felt better in terms of football, physically, mentally, in all aspects but I also need that goal," Arellano told Mexican daily Record. "That would help me take off but I believe that's the only thing I've lacked."

Arellano has been healthy this season, having played 11 games, but has yet to translate that physical success with scoring prowess. He has started the last three games and has gone the distance in each one. Arellano said his success against America has been more happenstance than anything.

"I've given everything I have, 100 percent of myself," Arellano said. "It's a coincidence. I am going to enjoy the game and of course I would love to score a goal. That's important to me right now."

Last season, Arellano scored the only goal in Chivas' 1-0 win at Estadio Azteca. Overall, Arellano has scored three goals against America.

"Things go well for me in rivalry games," Arellano said. "I made my debut against America and I've gotten the chance to score. It's beautiful. Those are things you can really enjoy."
