With just one international fixture date on the calendar before the start of the World Cup, Mexico manager Javier Aguirre held back very little with the roster he will use for the match.

In the roster announced Thursday, Aguirre called up nine European-based players, including Barcelona duo Rafael Marquez and Jonathan Dos Santos. Also, Aguirre called up talented youngsters Giovani Dos Santos and Carlos Vela. Two of Mexico's four goalscorers from Wednesday's 5-0 rout of Bolivia were called back - Javier Hernandez of Guadalajara and Braulio Luna of San Luis. Hernandez scored twice and Luna had a goal and helped set up three others. Pablo Barrera and Paul Aguilar, the other two goalscorers, were not part of the roster.

Francisco Javier "Maza" Rodriguez also returns. Rodriguez, a regular with PSV Eindhoven, has only played four games with Mexico in the last two years.

Mexico will play New Zealand on Wednesday at the Rose Bowl in their second game of 2010.

Left off the roster were some name players. Guillermo Ochoa was not part of the Bolivia match and was again not part of this roster. Also, Nery Castillo and Guillermo Franco were not called in. The former is dealing with club issues while the latter is injured. Also not part of the roster is Morelia's Miguel Sabah, who did not participate against Bolivia either.
