San Luis 3-1 Atlas: San Luis First Half Comeback Enough Against Atlas

Atlas looked like they would have a great night but San Luis would have none of it.

Atlas got an early lead in the game but San Luis made a first half come back to win the game. San Luis scored three unanswered goals which lifted them against Atlas.

San Luis earns their second win of the season with the victory against Atlas.

San Luis was in need of a dear win but things would not go their way early in the first half.

Atlas still had goals in them after 7-1 pounding against Indios and they showed it in the 12th minute. Dario Botinelli received the ball outside the box found space and drilled it in the back of the net. Atlas went ahead 1-0.

San Luis went in search of the tie and threw everyone up. That did little to stop Atlas' attack. Gonzalo Vargas unleashed a rocket in the 25th minute. His shot had a lot behind it but it missed the mark as it went out for a goal kick.

Things would change in the 29th minute after a free kick from Braulio Luna. Luna got his chance off a free kick and buried it. He tied the game and also turned the tide of the game.

The goal gave San Luis a new found confidence which they used to score their second of the night. Gonzalo Pineda scored off a great give and go play with Blas Perez. Pineda finished with a potent shot and sent San Luis up in the 34th minute.


San Luis would have one more before the half. Fabricio Fuentes made a mistake and left the ball short for his keeper. Blas Perez took advantage of the mistake and poked the ball into the back of the net.  
 
Both teams did very little in the second half but San Luis still had the possession of the ball.

Hebert Alferez tried a shot from long distance for Atlas in the 73rd minute. The shot went well wide and caused no danger for San Luis.

San Luis didn't have a good one until the 86th minute. Gonzalo Pineda got the bounce outside the box and riffled his shot towards goal. The shot just missed as the ball went out for a goal kick.

Rodolfo Salinas would have another for San Luis in the 88th minute. Salinas made a great individual play and fired towards goal. Mariano Barbosa had to make a diving save to impede another goal.

The game ended shortly after with San Luis pulling ahead 3-1.
