Breaking Records Secondary For Chivas' Hernandez
A win over Atlante would give Chivas their best-ever start, but Javier Hernandez said he is most interested about the three points at stake.
Aside from getting used to winning, Hernandez admits that the teammate is more content at practices after their prefect start.
“Like the other weeks we’re concentrated on playing the game to earn points especially at home. I’m getting used to, as well as my teammates, to work each week like this: happy. We’re calm because we’re gaining points every weekend,” said ‘Chicharito’ to the press after practice on Friday.
Getting into the club’s history books would be a bonus, says Hernandez, but the most important thing is to take away the three points.
“We know that and leaving history aside what we want is to continue earning points for the main objective, the Liguilla. Whether we make history or not will be something aside. What we want is to get three points tomorrow [Saturday] and we know it’ll be a difficult rival.”
Atlante has yet to win in the Bicentenario 2010, but ‘Chicharito’ expects a difficult challenge.
“[We’re expecting] the best Atlante. Like always they’re a rival that’s going to complicated, and we know how they play against Chivas always with an extra and it’ll be a complicated game. Every rival will be difficult, it doesn’t matter how they’re doing. We’re always expecting to face the best every week.”
Though ‘Chicharito’ may add to his current seven goal total, that statistic is not what concerns the player but rather whether Chivas can get the three points.
“It’s not so much to cause damage, I’m just concerned with what the manager asks of me and to do it on the field. Like I mentioned, if I score that’s great, but the important thing is to get the three points.”
