Another Club America player, Juan Carlos Silva, was shot yesterday, but is not seriously injured.

The club's sporting director, Jaime Ordiales, confirmed that Silva was shot yesterday, receiving a bullet in the left gluteus. The bullet missed any bone, so the problem is not serious, but Silva will soon undergo a series of tests to confirm the magnitude of the wound.

Silva did not train with the club following the incident, and an offical account will be provided in due course.

Earlier, teammate Salvador Cabanas was shot in the head. The bullet is still lodged in the Paraguayan striker's skull, but he is conscious and able to talk.
