thumbnail Hello,

The two sides could not find much offense as Monterrey and Jaguares opened play in Group B of InterLiga with a scoreless draw.

Monterrey and Jaguares closed out a doubleheader with a dull outing as the two teams opened their respective InterLiga campaigns with a scoreless draw at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas.

Puebla thrashed Tigres 4-1 in the opener but the goal binge was not carried on in the nightcap.

Jaguares had a pair of early opportunities as Monterrey had a slow start. Cristian Alvarez hit the post in the 22nd minute while Yasser Corona sent a shot on goal that Omar Ortiz pushed over the crossbar.

Monterrey, who sent out few of their regulars, had problems finding any sort of attack. Sergio Santana had Monterrey's first real chance of the match as he took a pass from Severo Meza and ripped a shot but Oscar Perez dived and parried the ball away.

Jaguares had the final opportunity of the game but Eduardo Chavez hit the post in the 90th minute as the match fizzled out to a scoreless draw.
