Sergio Amaury Ponce was placed on the list of possible transfers for Chivas, and now the player is on his way out to Tigres. The midfielder arrived in the beginning of 2009 from Toluca, playing the InterLiga 2009 with Chivas and winning the title with the team. He had sparse participation in the Apertura 2009 and was then promptly placed on the transfer list but so far is the only one that has had a move.

The move was announced through a press release but it won’t be permanent and will be a year-long loan.

“Sinergia Deportiva informs that an agreement has been reached with the management of Club Guadalajara and the midfielder Sergio Amaury Ponce to play with Tigres of UANL on loan for the Clausura and Apertura 2010 tournaments. The 28-year-old player will arrive in the city [Monterrey] on Saturday, December 26 to undergo medical tests.”

Ponce played 13 games with Chivas in the Apertura 2009 and started only eight of them.
